We are absolutely delighted to welcome Millie Sparkles as our first featured independent local maker at the ‘ReLoved’ Shop & Community Hub.
Millie brings sparkle and magic everywhere she goes. She is a super-talented clothing designer, maker and teacher, specialising in everything jazzy! Her love for her work shines through and her positivity is contagious. We are so proud to feature her work at the ReLoved shop, and think her range of clothing, face-masks and accessories in brights, pinks and animal prints look absolutely awesome in our local talent corner.
[Love Wavertree loves artists, makers and designers and we are pleased to add that 100% of profit made from sales of her products goes directly to Millie, in keeping with our ReLoved shop policy of 0% commission for featured independents].
Millie led a small-scale (safe and socially distanced) sewing workshop for some of our local youngsters at the shop recently and it was so lovely to see the joy and concentration on their faces – some mini Millie Sparkles in the making!
Millie will be leading more textiles, making, upcycling and sewing groups in the hub – including a men’s sewing group – as and when COVID-19 measures allow. Please ask at the shop for more details – and get ready to sparkle!
*** Millie will be speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside about her work, about featuring at the ReLoved shop and being part of the Loved Wavertree community on Thursday 16th July 2020 at 10.30am. ***
